What happened, in summary

A woman who had never smoked had metastatic lung adenocarcinoma with an ERBB2 V776delinsVC mutation. She started cisplatin and pemetrexed, but the cancer initially progressed. Bevacizumab was then added to the chemotherapy regimen, after which stable disease was documented during a total treatment period of 4.5 months. She next received trastuzumab plus paclitaxel for 2 months, but the disease progressed. Erlotinib followed for 1 month and was also associated with further progression. Her course showed a short period of disease control after bevacizumab was added, followed by progression through later HER2-directed and systemic treatments.
