PatientSavvy is a cancer-story discovery website. Our goal is to help patients, caregivers, families, researchers, advocates, and the public find cancer stories from original sources more easily.

PatientSavvy organizes publicly available stories using classification, search, filters, summaries, labels, and source links. We aim to help visitors discover relevant stories and then read more from the original source.

PatientSavvy does not replace the original source. We encourage visitors to use the "Read original" link or equivalent source link to review the original publication.

PatientSavvy is for general informational and educational discovery purposes only.

PatientSavvy does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, clinical guidance, second opinions, or professional healthcare services. Nothing on PatientSavvy should be used to make medical decisions without consulting a qualified healthcare professional.

Cancer diagnosis and treatment are highly individual. A story about one patient may not apply to another patient, even if the cancer type, stage, biomarker, treatment, or outcome appears similar.

If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

Your use of PatientSavvy does not create a doctor-patient relationship, healthcare provider relationship, advisor relationship, fiduciary relationship, or other professional relationship between you and PatientSavvy.

PatientSavvy does not practice medicine and does not review your individual medical condition.

PatientSavvy may include information derived from, classified from, summarized from, linked to, or otherwise associated with third-party original sources.

These sources may include hospitals, cancer centers, nonprofits, publishers, media organizations, journals, video platforms, podcast platforms, patient advocacy organizations, or other publicly available sources.

PatientSavvy does not own or control third-party websites. Third-party sources are responsible for their own content, privacy practices, terms, accuracy, permissions, and availability.

When you click a third-party link, you leave PatientSavvy and use that third-party website at your own risk.

PatientSavvy's purpose is to improve access, discovery, and navigation of patient stories.

We aim to credit and link to original sources where available. We do not intend to misrepresent original sources, claim ownership of third-party stories, or replace the original publication.

PatientSavvy may classify, normalize, label, excerpt, summarize, or otherwise organize public source information to make stories easier to search and compare. These classifications may include cancer type, stage, biomarker status, treatment type, treatment detail, metastatic sites, outcome label, publication date, source name, and related fields.

PatientSavvy works with public information and classification processes. We try to make the information useful and accurate, but errors can happen.

For example:

• A source may be incomplete, outdated, ambiguous, or later changed
• A classification may be incorrect
• A cancer stage, biomarker, treatment, or outcome may be misinterpreted
• A story may describe a patient's experience in a non-clinical way
• Medical terminology may vary across sources
• The original source may remove or revise content after PatientSavvy indexes it

You should verify important information with the original source and a qualified healthcare professional.

You may use PatientSavvy for lawful, personal, educational, research, advocacy, or informational purposes.

You agree not to:

• Use PatientSavvy for unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, or fraudulent purposes
• Use PatientSavvy to provide medical advice without appropriate qualifications
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or bulk-download content except as permitted by law or with written permission
• Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or technical restrictions
• Misrepresent PatientSavvy content as medical advice, clinical guidance, or original-source content
• Remove source credits, attribution, or original-source links
• Use PatientSavvy in a way that violates third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or data protection rights
• Use automated systems in a manner that places unreasonable load on the website

The PatientSavvy website, design, organization, classification structure, database structure, metadata, text created by PatientSavvy, logos, trademarks, and other site elements may be owned by PatientSavvy or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Original third-party stories, images, videos, articles, podcasts, names, logos, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party content to PatientSavvy or to you.

Subject to these Terms, PatientSavvy grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the website for lawful personal, educational, research, advocacy, or informational purposes.

This license does not allow you to copy, republish, resell, sublicense, bulk-download, or commercially exploit PatientSavvy or its content unless permitted by law or approved in writing.

PatientSavvy respects patients, caregivers, authors, publishers, hospitals, nonprofits, media organizations, and other source owners.

If you are a patient, caregiver, author, publisher, copyright owner, source owner, or authorized representative and you believe content on PatientSavvy should be removed, corrected, updated, or restricted, contact us at medxact@gmail.com.

Please include:

• The PatientSavvy page or story involved
• The original source URL, if available
• The specific content you want removed or corrected
• The reason for the request
• Your relationship to the content
• Any supporting information that helps us evaluate the request

We may request additional information to verify your authority or evaluate the request. We may remove, update, de-index, correct, or restrict content at our discretion.

If you believe content on PatientSavvy infringes your copyright, contact us at medxact@gmail.com.

Please include:

• Your name and contact information
• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Identification of the PatientSavvy content you believe is infringing
• The PatientSavvy URL involved
• The original source URL, if applicable
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate
• Your physical or electronic signature

We will review copyright complaints in good faith and may remove or restrict content where appropriate.

If you are featured in a story and do not want the story indexed, summarized, classified, linked, or displayed on PatientSavvy, contact us.

Even if the original story remains public on the original-source website, we may remove or limit the PatientSavvy listing after reviewing your request.

PatientSavvy may allow you to contact us by email or another contact method. If you send us information, you represent that the information is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.

Do not send medical records, confidential health information, insurance information, payment information, or other sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it for a defined purpose.

By sending us feedback, suggestions, corrections, or other non-confidential information, you allow us to use it to improve PatientSavvy without obligation to compensate you.

Your use of PatientSavvy is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

PatientSavvy links to third-party websites for convenience and source attribution.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, terms, security, accuracy, availability, advertising, tracking technologies, or changes.

A link from PatientSavvy does not mean PatientSavvy endorses the third-party website, organization, author, treatment, product, physician, hospital, or service.

PatientSavvy does not endorse any specific treatment, drug, clinical trial, hospital, physician, product, service, organization, publisher, patient story, or medical approach.

Patient stories are individual experiences. They are not guarantees, predictions, or recommendations.

PatientSavvy may change, update, suspend, remove, or discontinue any part of the website at any time.

We may add, remove, revise, reclassify, or correct stories, metadata, labels, summaries, images, links, filters, or other website features.

We are not required to maintain any specific content, source, classification, feature, or link.

PatientSavvy is provided "as is" and "as available."

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PatientSavvy disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and medical usefulness.

We do not guarantee that PatientSavvy will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, current, complete, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PatientSavvy and its owners, operators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, PatientSavvy.

This includes damages related to medical decisions, reliance on content, classification errors, source errors, third-party websites, privacy incidents, lost data, lost profits, reputational harm, or website unavailability.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PatientSavvy and its owners, operators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from or related to:

• Your use of PatientSavvy
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable law
• Your violation of third-party rights
• Information or materials you submit to us
• Misuse of PatientSavvy content

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.

Your continued use of PatientSavvy after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
